Utah (still)...

We are still in Utah.  Still waiting for ICPC paperwork to go through.  A formality, but must happen before we can leave the state and travel home.  We've had a wonderful time together--just the three of us--but now we want to go home.  We were pretty disappointed to learn we'd be staying through the weekend.  So, we decided to go on an adventure to lift our spirits.

We spent Saturday afternoon in Park City, about a half hour from Salt Lake, where we're staying.  We fed Rae at 12:30p, strapped her in her car seat, and drove into the beautiful mountains.  The weather was mild and the air was clear in Park City, which was just what we needed.  We stopped for coffee, browsed some really cute shops, did some people watching, and enjoyed a late lunch.  Rae slept the whole time, snug as a bug in her sling.  She loved it and so did I!  [Lots of oohs and aahs over the tiny, cute baby. ;)]  We made it back to the car at 4:30p, and by that time she was starting to squirm.  We hung out in the parking lot while I changed and fed her in the back of our rental car.  Then returned her to the car seat for a sleepy ride back.  This little one goes with the flow!

  2. Looks like a nice trip to take your thoughts off of the delay! If it helps you feel better about the delays...... I have just finished cleaning all of your wood blinds. I might say, you have a lot of them.
When you get home it will be my time to just hold Rae... and no chores for me!
Just continue to enjoy your time together and take in any sights that you can. You will be home soon with your little girl, that is all that counts. Love you... Mom

  7. Looks like your making the best of it! I hope you get to come home soon! Bummer you won't make it to the meeting tonight :( But we will see you at the next one. :) Rae looks like an excellent little traveler. How many babies can say they saw the mountains at that age :). I love the photos thanks so much for sharing! I love the one where your feeding her! These are great photos to have for her life book. :) We hope to see you soon! When you get back and things settle down let us know when you want visitors. I know how crazy it gets when you get home with everyone wants to come over. :)
